The European Commission has published a proposal to amend multiple EU regulations and directives related to data protection, cybersecurity, and digital services. The proposal, known as the Digital Omnibus, amends GDPR (Regulation 2016/679), NIS 2 Directive (Directive 2022/2555), eIDAS 2, DORA, CRA, and other digital legislative acts to simplify the regulatory framework. The proposal is not yet in force and is subject to the legislative process.
